Mark L. Mussig, JD – Director, Tax
Mark has 25 years of experience in the public accounting and tax arena, focusing primarily on tax consulting. He is a member of the firm’s tax executive committee and serves clients in all industries, including manufacturing, distribution, construction, and service. Mark earned his Juris Doctorate from Cleveland Marshall College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toledo. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and speaks at both local and national seminars.
Mary Jo Dolson, CPA – Director, State and Local Tax
Mary Jo has more than 25 years of experience working in the state and local tax arena and has dealt with tax issues from nearly every state in the country. Her expertise includes corporate income tax, sales/use tax, personal property tax, and franchise tax. Mary Jo earned her Bachelor of Science from Youngstown State University and she is a member of the OSCPA and often speaks on multi-state tax issues.
Michael S. Koch, CPA – Director, Tax
Michael is experienced in working with closely held businesses, including restaurant, hospitality, construction, manufacturing, real estate, and professional services. He has specific expertise in capital cost recovery, partnership tax law, and other pass-through tax issues. Michael earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati and is a member of the AICPA and the OSCPA.
Michelle G. Mahle, CPA – Director, Tax
Michelle has more than 20 years of experience in industry niches, and serves closely held businesses, S corporations, partnerships/LLCs, and high-net worth individuals. She co-chairs the firm’s tax executive committee and oversees the direction of the firm’s tax practice. Michelle received a Bachelor of Science from Myers University and she is a member of the AICPA, and sits on the Tax Legislation Committee of the OSCPA.
Richard J. Meltzer, CPA – Director, Tax
Rick has more than 40 years of experience in auditing, tax, and management services. He has provided technical expertise related to buying and selling businesses, consolidated financial statements, multistate income tax returns, LIFO inventory elections and computations, and financial projections and forecasts. Rick graduated from the University of Illinois and is a member of the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society.
Douglas L. Klein, CPA, EA – Associate Director, Tax
Doug has more than 25 years of experience in public and industry accounting and specializes in international tax, as well as IRS and state/local tax dispute resolution. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Ashland College and is a member of the AICPA and the OSCPA.
Jeffrey Tubaugh, CPA ¬– Associate Director, Tax
Jeff specializes in domestic tax planning and compliance for corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and individuals. In addition, he conducts, manages, and reviews cost segregation studies. Jeff received his Bachelor of Arts in accounting and business from Muskingum College. He is a member of the AICPA and OSCPA.
Angela Alexander, CPA, MS – Manager, Tax
Angela specializes in corporate compliance, concentrating in the area of consolidated structures. She earned her Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Kent State University. She is a member of the OSCPA and the AICPA.
David A. McClain II, CPA, MBA – Manager, Tax
Dave is an integral part of the cost segregation studies strategic business unit and is in charge of research and analysis of existing laws relating to the area, as well as analyzing new laws and rulings. He prepares corporate tax returns for a variety of businesses and industries, in addition to individual income tax and trust returns for high net-worth individuals, sole-proprietors, and business owners. Dave earned his bachelor’s degree and his Master of Business Administration from The University of Akron. He is a member of the AICPA, the OSCPA, and is a frequent author in trade publications.
Robert W. Jackson, CPA, MT – Manager, Tax
Robert specializes in the taxation of corporations, partnerships, high net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates. He serves as a technical resource for the firm on complex transactional issues and strategies, including corporate acquisitions and reorganizations. Robert earned his Master of Taxation from the University of Denver and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Kent State University. He is a member of the AICPA and the OSCPA.
Christine A. Burton, MT – Senior Associate, Tax
Christine specializes in international taxation and is experienced with consolidated C corporations, S corporations, and FAS 109. She received her Master of Taxation from The University of Akron and her Bachelor of Business Administration from Cleveland State University. She is a member of the American Society of Women Accountants.
Dawn N. Nadle, CPA – Senior Associate, Tax
Dawn has tax experience in corporate, partnership, trust, and individual income tax returns, including resolution of issues in response to tax notices and amended returns, as well as research of complex issues. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in accounting from North Central College and is a member of the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society.
Jaysen W. Mercer, CPA – Senior Associate, Tax
Jaysen has experience in tax planning, strategy, return preparation, payroll tax preparation, and compilation and review preparation. He is also proficient in retirement plan design, consulting, compliance, and management. Jaysen received his bachelor’s degree from The University of Akron and is a member of the AICPA and the OSCPA.
Ronald Reed Jr., CPA – Senior Associate, Tax
Ron’s experience in public accounting includes corporate, partnership, and individual tax preparation, planning, and compliance. He has worked extensively with multi-state and multi-city tax preparation and has experience in the audits of 401(k) plans. Ron is also knowledgeable in QuickBooks and Peachtree. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Mount Union College and is a member of the AICPA.
